Setting Goals helps create the planning stage for what we want to accomplish.
We need to periodically revist these goals to................................
check and see if we are succeeding and on the right path....................
My Individual Goals for the 2010 season are:
-
As always, my number one goal is to continue to improve communication with
players, parents, administration, community and assistant
coaches. My main tool of communication will be this web site.
I plan even more individual contact with players to discuss
progress of their goals and to promote individual confidence and mental toughness.
-
Improve utilization and input from my assistant coaches. They have many solid things to offer and I need to be more open to their suggestions and coaching skills/input.
-
Continue to improve utilization of team captains - communication with team / increased awareness of having fun with this great game / helping with organization and layout of home matches. Captains do a lot for our program, can they do more or as coaches, are we asking for too much?
-
Continue to keep accurate and up-to-date records of match play in my coaching binder and to place this info onto our web site.
-
Strive for excellence in coaching skills and techniques
through professional improvement and improved use of coaching tennis resources.
-
Continually stress the importance of fun, sportsmanship, competition, work ethics, and team spirit.
-
Improve communication of past years' success stories through website, court signs, trophy case pictures, etc.
Team Goals:
-
Provide feedback and recognized improvement toward Divisional
and State Tournaments.
-
Increase players' mental and physical readiness to play their
best at the Divisional and State Tournaments.
-
Improve hydation program to keep players hydrated properly at matches and practices.
