DAILY LOG:

DAY ONE: Had a great time. The Indian Wells facility is amazing. Not as big as Billy Jean Tennis Center in NY but well designed. We watched Novak Djokovic beat Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3 2-6 7-6(3). That match was followed by Rafael Nadal beating Mario Ancic 6-2 6-2. Then the girls took the court and Jelena Jankovic beat Sara Errani 2-6 7-6(6) 6-4. We missed Andy Roddick teaming up with James Blake in doubles because they moved them to another court and we weren't fast enough to get into the smaller stadium and grab a seat. I blame it on Joan! Ha Ha.

DAY TWO: We caught the night session so watched the end of Lopez, Feliciano / Verdasco, Fernando doubles against Lopez, Feliciano/ Nadal, Rafael 6-4 7-6(4). Then the most amazing thing happened. I witnessed history as the number one player in the world, Roger Federer lost to Marcos Baghdatis 5-7 7-5 7-6(4). It was truely a great match with both players cracking the ball! Mom and I hung around for the final match Carla Suarez Navarro against Alisa Kleybanova. Carla knocked out the number one seed, Svetlana Kuznetsova earlier in the tournament and Kleybanova downed Kim Clijsters so both can play the game. The first set was very sloppy, 6 service breaks out of 8 games so at 11:30 pm we decided to head home. Probably should have stayed as Kleybanova pulled out the match by a 2-6 7-6(2) 6-4 score. OF COURSE, I brought my camera, but forgot the battery so didn't get any pictures. Borrowed a few from my sister but she doesn't have the technology for pictures that I have. :-)

Coach Gregg spent a week in Palm Springs celebrating his Mother's (Lois) 80th
Birthday with his sisters (Sharon & Gail), neice (Ally) and wife (Joan). While they
were there they took in the BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament in Indian Wells

DAY THREE: No tennis today. We're doing some family activities around Palm Springs.
We'll have to catch the night matches on TV as the two Andys play Roddick in the first
match and Murray following. Roddick plays Melzer, Jurgen and Murray plays
Almagro, Nicolas.

DAY FOUR: We had a great day of tennis. As we were walking into the grounds, some VERY NICE LADY came
up to my sister, mom and I and gave us night tickets that she couldn't use. They just happened to be box
tickets 11 rows up from the court behind the chair umpire so no more nose-bleed and Nadal vs. Tomas Berdych
match was incredible. After that we saw some doubles, Zheng, Jie / Chan, Yung-Jan vs. Peschke, K. / Srebotnik, Katarina
Sometimes it's better to be "LUCKY". The day matches included Jelena Jankovic defeating Alisa Kleybanova.
Ljubicic, Ivan downed Monaco, Juan as Ivan was serving everything up around 135 mph. We had a great time and
the night matches were a real treat.

DAY FIVE: We are actually taking a break from tennis today as it is our last day in the desert. We'll have to just
relax and enjoy the pool. See everyone back in Cut Bank at MONDAY's practice. GOOD first week everyone!

DAY SIX : We check out and fly out today. We'll be home soon and back on the courts with the WOLVES' TENNIS
TEAMS!

Below are some of the pictures Coach Gregg would like to share with the Team and Friends of CBHS Tennis
