The Wolves' 1995 boys' team was led by five key seniors, Mike Elhard, Ryan Happe, Charlie Coe, Brian Crail and Nic Peterson. Adam Crail, Kevin Eaton and Ryan Murphy were three freshmen who rounded out the varsity team. These players claimed the Divisional Championship and places 2nd as a team at the state tournament. At State, Elhard was unstoppable as he rolled past every opponent on his way to the singles championship match. In the title match, he crushed Bigfork's Paul Henion 6-2,6-1 to claim the first State Championship for a Cut Bank Wolves' player. Coe/Happe finished 3rd in doubles and Nic Peterson finished 5th in singles. The Wolves' girls' team was led by senior Melissa Matt. Joining Matt on the varsity squad were Rielle Salois, Terra Barron (both seniors) along with Courtney Younce, Erin Cassel, Kim Hanson, Candyce Eney and Heather LaTray. Matt went on to all-state honors placing 4th in singles. |
